Mostly Complete $2K Project: 1979 Lotus Esprit S2
This 1979 Lotus Esprit S2 is described as complete with a good chassis, but the seller otherwise leaves photos to do the talking. The car looks tired and rough, but does actually appear to be nearly fully intact, including its Type 907 twin cam four. Though undoubtedly a huge project, it’s certainly priced realistically. 42 of 68 Built: 1956 Volvo P1900
This 1956 Volvo P1900, or Volvo Sport as they were also known, is said to be number 42 of just 68 built, fewer than 50 of which are believed to remain. Described as an “excellent show car and reliable driver,” it’s further claimed to retain its original engine and transmission. One of 841: 1969 Bond Equipe Convertible
This 1969 Bond Equipe is an interesting, low production fiberglass bodied car built on a more familiar Triumph Herald chassis. The car has undergone a recent restoration, which included a bare shell respray as well as fitment of a larger than standard Triumph 2.5 liter six. Ex-Rally & Road Race Project: 1969 Datsun 510
This 1969 Datsun 510 (chassis PL510048806) is reported to have seen competition in SCCA rally events, later switching to vintage road racing, “when things were much more casual, meaning no fuel cell, no proper seat, no harness.” It features an L20B and steel Alpina flares, likely from a 2002. The car isn’t currently running, but sale includes “many juicy spares.” Find it here on Craigslist in Escondido, California for $5k.
