1965-Ish C2/C3 Mix-Up: Ex-Drag Racer Corvette
This Corvette is a bit of a mutt, having been put back together recently after some time spent as a dedicated drag racer, the builder utilizing a ’74 C3 chassis and a variety of different model year C2 bits, not to mention a rebuilt Camaro 305. It’s titled as a ’65, and has seen lots of recent sounding work including fitment of a partially new interior, freshened suspension, and rebuilt brakes. Photos are limited, and though far from the ideal example, what can be made out looks surprisingly good–especially at this price. Find it here on Jalopy Journal in Springboro, Ohio for $28,500.
Ur-Ur Quattro: 1986 Bombardier/VW Iltis
This 1986 Bombardier Iltis is a former military vehicle, one of 2,500 built by the Canadian company under license from VW. Offered for sale with an M101 trailer, the seller says its never been abused, further noting an estimated 37k kilometers. Known for their good off-road performance, the Iltis employed a four wheel drive system that later served as the basis for the Ur Quattro’s revolutionary drive system. Notably, an Audi prepped example went on to win the 1980 Paris-Dakar rally. Find this one here on Craigslist in Prince George, British Columbia, Canada for $8,500 CAD (~$6,500 USD today). All Original: 1958 BMW Isetta 300
This 1958 BMW Isetta 300 (chassis 507551) is said to remain all original including factory applied paint. Mileage is given as just 16k and change, and apart from missing hubcaps, cosmetics look to be quite decent, with a nice, honest patina throughout. These cars are typically either over-restored or total rust buckets, so finding one in between is definitely noteworthy. Find it here on eBay in Austinburg, Ohio for $30k OBO.
Stepside Six: One Family 1968 Chevrolet C10
This 1968 Chevrolet C10 (chassis CS148S197801) is said to have been owned by a single family since new, the seller further claiming that it remains matching-numbers and in good running condition with ~52k miles. It’s been resprayed once, but otherwise sounds to be very original, and condition looks to be quite nice inside and out. Find it here on eBay in Dallas, Texas with reserve not met.
