Complete Project: 1972 Volvo 1800ES 4-Speed w/ Overdrive
This 1972 Volvo 1800ES (chassis 1836353006557) has clearly been sitting for a few years, and is said to have run when parked in 1989. Whether it’s more suitable for parts or restoration will require closer inspection, but these lovely shooting brakes were built for only two years, and this one’s 4-speed with overdrive, dealer-installed A/C and general completeness have us hoping rust isn’t terminal. Find it here on Craigslist in Greenville, South Carolina for $2,900.
Early Hatchback Innovator: AACA Awarded 1951 Frazer Vagabond
This 1951 Frazer Vagabond (chassis 007573) is an interesting early hatchback model built in relatively small numbers. Hailing from the marque’s last year, this example sounds to wear an older restoration, and is claimed to have won an AACA National Award in 1994. Condition still looks very nice throughout, and the car is said to drive excellently as well. Find it here on eBay in Orlando, Florida for $21,900. Special thanks to BaT reader Frank for this submission.
No Reserve: 1960 Citroen 2CV Fourgonnette
This 1960 Citroen 2CV Fourgonnette (chassis AZU489880) has been with the seller since 1977, but was last driven three years ago. It’s still running on a non-original 435cc 18 horse boxer twin, though its factory 425cc 12 HP motor is included alongside a third, 602cc 29 HP item. Cosmetics are well worn, but the little van does look complete, and the seller claims that it’s very solid also. Sale includes additional spares including extra gearboxes, and the ad seems to suggest that it needs little more than a flushed fuel system. Find it here on eBay in Louisburg, Kansas with no reserve and fast bidding.
No Reserve: Engineless 1963 Jaguar MkII 3.8 4-Speed
This 1963 Jaguar MkII (chassis P2198159DN) is a factory 3.8 liter 4-speed example that’s been with the owner for about 25 years. The ad says that it was undergoing restoration when its engine was stolen, after which the project stalled. The seller says it’s otherwise nearly all complete, excluding only the rear seat’s bottom cushion and inner door trim panels. Find it here on eBay in Cincinnati, Ohio with no reserve and sub-$1k bidding at the time of writing.
