Matching-Numbers on Steelies: 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 302
This 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 302 is offered as a matching-numbers car with one factory correct respray dating from the late 90’s. Details and photos are somewhat limited, but the car has been with the seller’s father for more than 40 years, and the interior is said to remain completely factory original. Find it here on Craigslist in suburban Chicago, Illinois for $55k.
BMW Roots, Superleggera Construction: 1952 Bristol 401
This 1952 Bristol 401 is described as being in “remarkable restored condition,” and it certainly does look very handsome in dark green. At 611 made over a six year production ending in 1953, the 401 remains the most built Bristol of all, though they’re still very rare by almost any standard, and their early, BMW-based mechanicals and aerodynamic look separate them from later, boxier, Chrysler V8 powered cars. Find this one here on eBay in Harwood, Manchester, England for 70k GBP (~$92k USD today).
53K Miles: 1987 Mercedes-Benz 420SEL
This 1987 Mercedes-Benz 420SEL isn’t a range topping 5.6 liter V8 car, but it does look very well preserved, and sounds to have been used sparingly and in fair weather only. An attractive champagne over red leather color combination, full functionality, no leaks, zero rust, and 53k claimed original miles are further pluses. Find it here on Craigslist in suburban Chicago, Illinois for $10,500. Special thanks to BaT reader Kenneth B. for this submission.
Unfinished Roadster: 1958 Kellison J4
This 1958 Kellison J4 is an unfinished project sitting on a tube frame with attached floors and Mustang front suspension. An unspecified V8 and manual transmission running gear are also fitted, and both are identified as Ford units, though their condition is unknown. The car will still require plenty of work to get near a drivable state, but these look great when finished, and a blank slate means the next owner can go for wild, mild or anywhere in between. Find it here on Craigslist in Centralia, Washington for $5k OBO.
