Ultra Rare Dummy Tank: 1939 Porsche Type 823

a

This 1939 Porsche Type 823 “Dummy Tank” is a rare and interesting variant of the Type 82 Kubelwagen designed to fool distant enemies–presumably, the Germans would gather a squadron on the field in hopes of deterring attack. This one is believed to be a legitimate original, though its non-running engine is from a later VW. It looks to be very complete and restorable, and though agreed upon production numbers are hard to come by, all agree that very few were built. Find it here on eBay in Anaheim, California with reserve not met.

Original Driver: $6200 1968 Chrysler 300

a

Its 440 was rebuilt approximately 5k miles ago, and the seller says it’s ready to be driven as-is. Find it here on Craigslist in Battle Lake, Minnesota for $6,195 OBO. Rare Pop-Top Camper: 1976 Chevrolet Blazer Cheyenne Chalet

This 1976 Chevrolet Blazer Blazer Cheyenne (chassis CKL186F203722) was fitted with an unusual but apparently well configured Chalet pop-top camper from new or nearly so, and appears to remain in excellent shape throughout. The seller claims just 56k miles, and adds that the truck runs and drives very well, thanks in part to a few well chosen engine upgrades designed to better cope with the camper shell’s extra weight. Additionally, suspension has been refreshed, four wheel drive works properly in both ranges, tires are new, and A/C blows cold. Find it here on eBay in Caldwell, Idaho with reserve not met. Special thanks to BaT reader Kris D. for this submission.

Full Maintenance Records: 1981 Toyota 4×4 Pick-Up

1981 Toyota 4x4 Pickup Hilux

This 1981 Toyota 4×4 pick-up is offered by its second owner, who says it’s been a daily driver since new–this might help explain its 363,000 mile odometer reading. Sale includes maintenance records from new, and the seller says that it’s mechanically excellent, noting a good list of recent work that included fitment of five new tires, clutch and brake masters, radiator, starter, driveshaft U-joint and more. Cosmetics are very decent as well. Find it here on Craigslist in Concord, California for $8k OBO.
