Price Drop Update: 1973 Monteverdi High Speed 375L
9/26/2016 Update: Nearly two and a half years since its first feature, and this 1973 Monteverdi High Speed 375L has returned to the market, this time about 350 kilometers to the southeast from its previous location. The price has been lowered a well, and though by only 12% or so in Euros, a relatively strong dollar means the difference is closer to 30% for any potential US-based buyers. As before, the car looks amazing, and the seller claims it’s reliable following recent service. Find it here at Pyritz Classics in Frankfurt, Germany for 225k euros (~$253k USD today). Special thanks to BaT reader Kyle K. for this submission.
The Last Ever Pegaso: 1991 Z-103 Spider
This Pegaso Z-103 Spider (VIN SEFZ103CNM0000010) is described by the seller as the “last Pegaso ever built,” a task completed in 1991 in preparation for some sort of large expo in Seville. Spain’s only sports car builder of note, Pegaso built some incredibly exotic machines, most of which utilized small, quad cam, all alloy V8’s, some of which offered up to 32 desmodromically-actuated valves in the 1950’s! This one uses an altogether more prosaic Buick/Rover 3.9 liter V8, but looks lovely and well-built regardless. Find it here on eBay in Atlanta, Georgia with reserve not met. Special thanks to BaT reader Jim R. for this submission.
318/4-Speed Crew Cab Project: 1969 Dodge D200
This 1969 Dodge D200 is a former US Forest Service crew cab equipped with a 318ci V8 mated to a 4-speed manual trans. Though brakes and the rear end are said to have been rebuilt, the seller adds that a timing adjustment and water pump are the only things preventing it from serving as a (rather long and basic) daily driver. Cosmetics are on the rough side, but these four-door examples are scarce, and provided it’s not totally rotten beneath, the truck should be worth preserving. Find it here on Craigslist in Atkins, Arkansas for $3,500.
Ex-Brazilian Air Force: 1991 Toyota Land Cruiser Bandierante
This 1991 Toyota Land Cruiser (VIN 9BR0J0060M1016306) is a Brazilian built Bandierante model which served with the local Air Force prior to decommissioning. Given our government’s 25 year import rule, it’s likely that the truck was very recently imported, and the seller claims just 135 miles since completion of a good-looking restoration effort. Said to be 100% free of rust following a fair amount of bodywork, the truck’s mechanicals have also reportedly been given a clean bill of health. Find it here on eBay in Birmingham, Alabama for $65k OBO. Special thanks to BaT reader Christian M. for this submission.
