Fewer than 30 Remaining: Clean 1977 Chevrolet Monza Mirage
This 1977 Chevrolet Monza is one of ~4,097 Mirage examples produced under contract for GM by Michigan Auto Techniques for the 1977 model year. Confusingly, the seller says it remains fully factory, but then admits to it being “redone” over 15 years ago, with receipts totaling more than $10k. Regardless, it’s certainly a very rare car with only 25-30 believed to remain, and though by no means a true performance machine, we think it looks really cool–it also appears to be in extraordinarily good condition inside and out. Find it here on Craigslist in North Smithfield, Rhode Island for $12k.
V8 Swap Candidate: EV Converted 2000 Porsche 911 w/ Dead Battery Pack
This 2000 Porsche 911 Carrera is a pre-facelift 996 generation example converted to an EV for a TV show called Electrified about six years ago. A worn battery pack currently keeps the car sidelined, but all other components are said to be in very good condition, and interestingly enough, its original 6-speed manual transmission was retained. Neither speed nor range capabilities are mentioned, but the car is said to be fully functional (apart from the driveline) and accident-free. Depending on the cost of a new battery pack, it could be more cost effective to fit a Renegade V8 conversion–it’d certainly sound better that way. Underutilized: 783-Kilometer 1985 Lancia Delta S4 Stradale
This 1985 Lancia Delta S4 Stradale is one of 200 Group B homologation cars built, the seller claiming a near-tragically low 783 kilometers and concours-ready condition. Further described as one of three finished in Argento Metallizzato, the incredible twincharged engine and many of the car’s other components are likely to need expensive servicing in order to be made road-ready, but we sincerely hope the next owner goes this route with the intent of fully enjoying the ownership experience. Find it here on eBay in Trieste, Italy for $550k OBO.
$6500 Crash Victim: 1995 Dodge Viper RT/10
This 1995 Dodge Viper RT/10 has reportedly been sitting outside for years, presumably after a big crash. It’s offered complete with its big V10 and 6-speed transmission as well as two hoods, extra wheels, and many other parts that the seller values at $11k. The car carries a salvage title, and the seller, who says that they’re getting out of the parts business, deems it not worth rebuilding. If the engine, gearbox and brakes are salvageable, however, they could make the basis for a very interesting custom build. Find it here on Craigslist near Birmingham, Alabama for $6,500.
