Cycle Woody: 1923 Briggs & Stratton Flyer
This 1923 Briggs & Stratton Flyer (chassis 2069) is an interesting contraption featuring a wood buckboard frame with power delivered by a motor wheel, and sounds as though it was originally manufactured as a kit. The seller, a Flyer collector, says that it was found preserved in a barn and is one of the nicest they’ve come across. Condition does appear to be quite nice, although the motor doesn’t run or match the chassis, and is missing a few parts as well. Find it here on eBay in Allentown, Pennsylvania with a $10,500 BIN.
$900 OBO: Running 1987 Alfa Romeo Milano Project
This 1987 Alfa Romeo Milano is running project that isn’t currently drivable thanks to a driveshaft in need of a new flex joint. The shaft itself is currently disconnected and the exhaust was chopped up to facilitate removal, but under a grand for a running Busso V6 fitted to one of Alfa’s excellent transaxle chassis is certainly tempting. Find it here on Craigslist in Leesburg, Virginia for $900 OBO.
Rare Configuration: 1973 International Harvester WagonMaster Project
This 1973 International Harvested 1210 WagonMaster is a rare factory-built four-door pick-up based on the more familiar wagon-style Travelall. Offered for ’73 and part of ’74, IH light truck production ended for good in 1975, and it’s believed only a few thousand (at most) of these five-foot bed SUV’s were made. This 2WD 392ci V8-powered example has had what looks like quite a bit of rust repair, but the seller admits that more remains to be done. That said, it also sounds to be quite complete, and the ad claims that it runs and drives well. Find it here on Craigslist in Albuquerque, New Mexico for $2,500. Special thanks to BaT reader Rick L. for this submission.
RHD Diesel Crew Cab: 1982 Toyota Hilux 4×4
This 1982 Toyota Hilux is a right hand drive diesel crew cab truck that was imported from Australia with full documentation, and is also accompanied by a stack of records since new, along with original manuals and tools. Four-door examples like this were never imported to the US, and despite some rust and soft brakes, overall the truck sounds like a good one, the seller claiming that it runs and drives great. Find it here on Craigslist Decatur, Georgia for $10k.
