BaT Auctions Presents: The Paul Perry Saab Collection
This week we are very pleased to present five interesting classic Saab automobiles from the collection of Mr. Paul Perry. For people in the Saab world, Mr. Perry needs no introduction. He was on the race crew in 1968 for the red Saab 96 he is now offering, and opened his own Saab shop called the Swedish Auto Factory in 1978. He has been a consistent presence at vintage racing events for several decades, always in Saabs, and has raced the blue #97 Sonett in over 115 race events. He personally keeps his cars in excellent tune and always nicely modified for increased performance. Now that he is officially retiring from the business and racing, we are very excited that he has selected BaT Auctions to help find new owners for these cherished machines. You can find them all listed here on the BaT Auctions page, and at the individual links below.
Bullitt Inspired: 1968 Dodge Charger 4-Speed
This 1968 Dodge Charger started life with a 383/Automatic drivetrain but is now running a 500hp 440 6-pack and a A833 4-speed. It wears black paint with a vinyl roof and wheel covers just like the bad dudes’ car in Bullitt, and the seller has also added the RDR 838 replica license plates. Condition looks to be excellent and the seller claims that all chrome and trim is new. Find it here on eBay in Patchogue, New York.
Golden Eagle: 1978 Jeep J10 4×4 Pickup
This 1978 Jeep J10 Pickup features a 360 V8 and cold A/C. It is fitted with oversize rubber and a toolbox, but otherwise looks mostly stock. The Golden Eagle lettering and hood decal were offered on both the CJ and the pickups, and with a swap to steel wheels or 70’s era wagon wheels this one would be amazing for hauling a cooler full of Coors banquet beer. Find it here on eBay in Vansant, Virginia.
Estate Sale Estate: 1958 Hillman Minx
This 1958 Hillman Minx estate (chassis A1818651) was recently purchased out of a California estate and is in running and driving condition. This is a very unusual model and it wears early black plates which help substantiate the California history claim. Find it here on eBay in Del Rey, California with reserve met at $1425. Special thanks to BaT reader Kyle K. for this submission.
