“If I can make a suggestion as to something I would like to see from BaT this year: in addition to cleaning up the grammar and precision of the writing, I would like to see BaT start featuring some individual personalities, and perspectives from the staff. The "uni-voice" you use gives the site a cold, impersonal feel, and statements like "we had never owned a SWB version" and "if your wife is more enthusiastic than ours" are flat-out weird: does the entire office own this car? Are several people over there sharing a wife? In the good old days of the once-great car magazines I used to enjoy reading LJK Setright, Csaba Csere, Peter Brock etc. and they all had a unique voice and perspective. BaT seems to be on its way to being the next go-to auction source in the collector world, and I would love to see you taking a magazine style approach to the content. On BarnFinds you can tell who is writing the story within the first paragraph from their writing style, and I find that engaging and refreshing. We already have our favorites among the commenters, why not bring that in from the top? I am nobody to argue with your considerable success, yet I feel this would be beneficial to both yourself and the readership. Just 2 cents from a longtime reader, and I’d love to hear what you and other commenters think. And thank you for all the entertainment so far, although maybe I should be cursing the hundreds of hours I’ve spent staring at the screen…..”
