"I had a 1986 528 E back in the day, I was a route sales rep working in a rural part of Mass called on 6-10 accounts a day and drove the snoot out of that car for 2 years. Bought it with 150,000. miles on it sold it it with close to 300,000 miles on it. This was the most abused and under serviced car I ever owned (35 years as a route sales rep I have owned a ton of cars).
