"I grew up in the 80's and to me the 928 is the iconic Porsche of my youth, perhaps thanks to Risky Business. I'm completely the opposite of Synchromesh (ironic name, given the balkiness of pre-g50 911 transmissions). I just could not fathom the ultra-conservative idea that a Porsche has to have a rear engine. The 928 is so objectively superior in every way to contemporary 911's (and really, superior to any supercar of that era) I found the antipathy simply inexplicable. I'm glad to see this car…"
