"50-plus years of tinkering with 2002s, including one I purchased brand-new has only taught me to "never-say-never" when I vow to give them up and move on to something more contemporary/practical/ economical/safer to drive.
And as often as I've sworn off my devotion to the 2002 model, the more I romanticize the experience - the sounds, the smell, the way the world is viewed through the tall windows.
Sure there are other cars, but this is the car I loved *first* - and the one I return to…"
