"@LeonVaughan The Buick turbo motors prior to '86 did not have an intercooler. Hence, they were known as 'hot-air' cars. In '86 and '87, the motors in the GN and all the other Buick turbo models were intercooled from the factory. The difference in power and performance was dramatic. The '85 GN had 200hp/300 lb-ft and did 0-60 in 7.5s and 1/4 in 15.7s at 87 mph. The '86/'87 GN had 245hp/355 lb-ft and did 0-60 in 4.9s and 1/4 in 13.9s at 98 mph."
