This 1971 240Z is said to be rust-free and is fitted with the JDM-style "G-nose" front fascia and covered headlights. Power comes from a hot (and beautifully photographed) L28 and nicely sorted chassis. With an estimated 225 HP at the rear wheels running through a 280Z five speed in conjunction with a 4.38 rear end, the seller's quickness claims are likely no exaggeration. Find it offered here on eBay in Vista, California.
8/24/2013 Update: This Mercedes remains available and the seller has lowered the price to "any four digit offer starting with a 7." Click hereto email the seller directly if you are interested.
From 8/5/20113:
This 1960 Mercedes 190b (chassis 12101010012173) was campaigned in the 2001 California Melee by BaT reader and Alpine 500 Rally founder Norm Walters. It is currently owned by SCM publisher Keith Martin, who has owned more than one of this ponton model. He says it is a special example for two reasons: their underbody inspection revealed it to be totally rust free, and it runs and drives beautifully with everything working properly. It is now available in Portland, Oregon for $8950.
This 1961 International Scout 80 looks amazing after a body-off restoration, with good paint, NOS decals, and what are described as top-notch mechanicals. We usually prefer Scout II's and Travelalls to these earlier models, but this one is easy to love. Chunky tractor tires with stock black steelies are absolute perfection, too. Find it offered here on eBay in Seattle, Washington.
