Thanks for the fantastic response to this idea and our coverage in our intro story earlier this week. Keep the comments and questions coming! In this update, we'll give you the details on the car, a factory Bluette 1964 Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GT that is an veteran of the Tulip Rallye. We thank AutoWeek for helping make this possible! Many were asking, and they paid for our KLM airfare plus either the beer tab or the price to ship the car home, depending on how we do the accounting. Check out the story and here on AutoWeek.com. This 1964 Plymouth Fury is a beast of a car with a built 550 Hemi. There's no mention of total mileage, originality, or whether the numbers match, but we don't really care, either. White over a red bench is a killer look, and the appliance-like paintwork only adds to the no-nonsense attitude thing exudes. It's obviously been built with straight-line racing in mind, but it could surely also find plenty of trouble on the street. Find it in Torrance, California for $35,500 or possible trade for a GT350 clone. Click here to read more... |
This traditional rod is built from a 1925 Dodge and features a 1946 Ford 59AB flathead V8 accompanied by a three-speed toploader transmission. We don't see many early Dodge builds like this one, but we're fans of any flathead motivated hot rod with good aesthetics for under $10k. Find it here on eBay in Saint Louis, Missouri with bidding at $8,900 and less than one day to go. Click here to read more... |
