This 1964 Ford Cortina GT (chassis Z7707802546) has been owned by the seller for 8 years and retains about half of its factory white paint and all of the rare, export-only stainless side-trim. The seller restores Alfas for a living, but says that this car always garners a great amount of attention and comments from visitors to his shop. This is an honest little GT that is no Lotus, but isn't trying to be. The restored red upholstery is also offers a nice contrast. It is now available in Seattle, Washington for $14,500. Today was Day 1 of the 2013 La Carrera Panamericana in Mexico. We are very proud to have many BaT fans and followers involved in the event, and can't believe it has already been 3 years since we attended and covered the 2010 event live right here on BaT. That was one of the best trips of our lives. Tops on our list are our pals in El Taxi Perdido, the 1965 Alfa Romeo Giulia Super that was purchased here as a BaT Exclusive that has been run in Mexico ever since by BaT-friend Martin L. Amazingly, between he and his 2nd-year co-driver Mark C., their team has purchased 10 cars on BaT over the years and have listed 5 BaT Exclusives. That plus running tattered BaT decals on their rear doors? No wonder we like these guys! They had an impressive showing today and are 1st in class and 11th overall. You can follow their adventure over at www.MartinsTaxi.com, and be sure to leave them some encouraging comments! Click here to read more... |
This 1954 Lincoln Capri won the Original Class at the 2005 La Carrera Panamericana. It's said to still ride, drive, and stop superbly, and looks fantastic in photos. The build is thoroughly documented both in the listing and separately in a three inch thick binder. It'd be great fun for vintage rallying or racing, but looks easy enough to get in and out of that the occasional back road blast wouldn't be out of the question. Find it here on eBay in West Chester, Pennsylvania with reserve not met. Click here to read more... |
