A few upgrades were made during the restoration, namely a professionally rebuilt "ribcase" gearbox, a Weber downdraft carburetor conversion, and a Crane XR-700 electronic ignition conversion. The dash plaque shows this particular car to be 886 of only 950 ever built, some of which were branded as Opel Lotus Omegas.
