This DKW/Porsche race car is called the TM Special and was built in 1963 to SCCA F Modified specs. Originally powered by an exotic four-cam, roller bearing Type 547 flat four running on two cylinders to meet the aforementioned class rules, the car has since been fitted with a variety of air-cooled Porsche motors and is currently running a freshly built 912-based 1600cc engine. The car was restored by noted Porsche experts Emory Motorsports, and was featured in the November 2008 issue of Excellence Magazine. Historical documentation includes period photos, articles and trophies. It is now available in Scottsdale, Arizona for $45k. Click here to read more... |
