This 1972 Datsun 240Z was originally built to SCCA GT2 specs sometime in the early 80's, and was then acquired by the seller as a roller in 2000. His race shop Balanced Performance Motorsports then completely rebuilt it to what?s described as a wickedly fast, light, and fun drive. The car runs an L24 stroked to 2.9 liters, and in combination with an updated ITB injection system and standalone EMS is said to make 272 horsepower at the rear wheels?quite a lot for a build that weighs 2,100 pounds wet. It is now available in Suwanee, Georgia for $28,700. Click here to read more... |
This 1948 Lancia Aprilia wears a one-off woody estate body that?s unlike anything we?ve seen on the chassis before. Commissioned by a well-to-do vineyard owner from Sienna, it was built by Carrozzeria Francis Lombardi?the eponymous founder of which was also a WWI ace pilot and aircraft builder. Discovered in 2004, the car was extensively restored and now appears to be in excellent condition. It?s a beautiful and unusual design, and has even been the subject of a scale model kit by ABC Brianza. Find it here at Marreyt Classics in Aalst, Belgium for 95k euros (~$131,955 today).
