Bring a Trailer Daily Mail

This 1972 DeTomaso Pantera (chassis THPNMB02321) has been owned by the current seller for 10+ years and he is offering it as an unfinished project. He says that the current color was indicated on a tag beneath the radiator even though the original owner painted it red, and he had it painted this color over bare metal. Find it here on eBay in Bellbrook, Ohio with no reserve. Special thanks to BaT reader Don L. for this submission!

This 1955 Swartly OSCA Special race car is offered in project form, and is said to be the same car that raced at to great results in 1955 at legendary events like the Pebble Beach road races, Torrey Pines Cup, and more. Skip Swartly raced Allards previously, but decided to build his own car for '55, and took it to a national SCCA point championship. This car has an all aluminum body that looks a bit different today from how it looked then, including the rake of the front grille. Find it here on eBay in Houston, Texas. Special thanks to BaT reader Alex F. for this submission!

4/13/2014 Update: Six years later, this great engine-swapped Datsun has now appeared for sale in Colorado in thrashed condition. It might be possible to save, but the lot where it is parked looks fairly dubious. Find it here on Craigslist in Commerce City, Colorado for $10k. Special thanks to Mark D for the submission, who was the seller of the car back in '08. He says he is heartbroken to see his former hot rod in this shape.
