It was purchased in 1984 from a New Jersey hoarder of 50?s cars who himself claimed to have bought the car directly from the county after it was retired from service. Sometime after taking it home the seller had the motor rebuilt by a well-known Connecticut shop, drove it around untitled on his farm for a few years, than put it away in the barn in 1992.
