This 1962 MG Midget (chassis GAN I L/4077) was acquired by the seller from a personal friend of Gerald Roush, the car's original owner and founder/long time editor of the respected Ferrari Market Letter until his passing in 2010. Ordered by Roush new, the car is said to be very close to #1 condition and has 12,729 original miles. Interestingly, Roush didn?t own Ferraris, for despite his deep admiration and knowledge of the marque he considered it a conflict of interest to have one himself. This Midget looks excellent, includes a wealth of documentation including a British Motoring Industry Heritage Trust certificate, and is said to run and drive beautifully. It is now available in Salisbury, North Carolina for $10k. Click here to read more... |
This 1963 E-type FHC (chassis 889526) is sold as a partially disassembled, non-running project with some corrosion and missing pieces, but despite initial appearances doesn?t seem like an entirely unlikely restoration candidate upon closer inspection. Rust has penetrated the trunk floor, right rear wheel arch, and a few other places, but rockers and floors appear to be largely solid. To see this project through to completion will take dedication, hard work, and lots of disposable income, but the ends would justify the means in our opinion. Find it here on eBay in Claremont, California with a $21,500 BIN. Click here to read more... |
This 1927 Model T-based Salt Lake Roadster was built in late 1950 by Fred Carrillo who would later found the eponymous maker of high quality H-beam connecting rods. Built up largely from military surplus aircraft parts, the car featured a novel for the time mid mounted Mercury flathead V8 and would go on to record a 178.16 MPH run at the ?51 Bonneville meet, shattering the previous year?s record by nearly 16 MPH. In July of 1952 it was Hot Rod Magazine?s featured cover car, and has since received much additional recognition detailed further below. Find it here at The H.A.M.B. in Maryland for $250k.
