This 1954 Kaiser Early Special 2-door sedan (chassis 5454-2678) is said to be one of only 250 such two doors built with a 1953 Manhattan chassis, body and interior combined with ?54 grille and taillights. Later 1954 specials were based on that year's Manhattan and featured a three piece rear window and less special interior. This particular car has been with the seller for 15 years during which it?s received both cosmetic and mechanical restorations, the latter which includes fitment of a 290HP GM crate 350 and Turbo Hyrda-Matic 350 automatic transmission. 12 volt electrics, front power discs and A/C were also added, along with several other well-integrated and hidden modern conveniences listed further below. It is now available in Los Angeles, California for $17,500. Click here to read more... |
This 2011 BMW 1M (VIN WBSUR9C54BVP76200) appears to be in largely as-new condition with a claimed 21,956 miles. M GmbH reversed their normal nomenclature rules for this model to avoid confusion with the late, great M1?genesis of all things M?but as supported by stellar press reviews and M3 beating performance in a more accessible package it would seem the break from tradition was entirely justified. Beyond just an unconventional name, the model also marked a more significant departure from the Motorsport ethos in that the 1M was their first turbocharged production car. This 1959 Flaminia Sport Zagato (chassis 824.00-1181) is offered as a restoration candidate and sounds to be non-running following several decades of storage. Largely straight, complete and solid, the car retains its original engine and seems surprisingly well preserved. Though refurbishing a neglected old Lancia could never be called easy, this one certainly looks as if it will be a lot more straightforward than most found after a similar stretch of disuse. Flaminias are among our favorite models from the once glorious marque, and these rare Zagato bodied versions are spectacular when sorted. Find this one here on eBay in Bethel, Connecticut fir $195k OBO. Special thanks to reader Ignacio S. for the submission! Click here to read more... | Also new on Bring a Trailer:
