This 1934 Ford Tudor bodied traditional hot rod was put together in 2001 by noted SoCal builder Fabian Valdez of Vintage Hammer Garage. Built around a heavily modified ?32 Ford frame, it?s powered by a 1956 Thunderbird 312CI Y block mated to a World Class T-5 5-speed?an excellent but invisible concession to modern driveability. All panels are based on original FoMoCo steel, and the car is said to be completely rust-free, strong running, and a lot of fun. The car proved its reliability with an LA to Bonneville trip as well as several trips up and down the West Coast. It's been featured in both the now defunct Hop Up Magazine (2006, 4 page feature) and Peter Vincent's latest book titled Bonneville Salt Flats (distributed by Rodder's Journal). Since that print coverage, it has undergone some finishing work including fresh paint, upholstery, brakes, rebuilt steering box, detailed engine bay, and rebuilt/freshly chromed front suspension The seller adds that it?s a blast to drive and not at all a quiet or tame cruiser. It is now available in Dallas, Texas for $34,500.
