Bring a Trailer Daily Mail

This 1954 Oldsmobile Rocket 88 2-door (chassis 548A13117) was the least expensive entrant allowed to run at this year's Mille Miglia in Italy, and comes with extensively documented history researched as a condition of its acceptance in that legendary event. Rust-free, clean, mechanically sorted, and FIVA certified, the car is approaching 99k original miles and has recently undergone a lengthy list of recent work designed to prepare it for the Mille including thoroughly freshened suspension, brakes, fuel system, and various drivetrain rebuilds. Turquoise and white is a great period color combo, and we take a lot of pleasure in seeing the humble Olds lined up nose to tail with the MM's more typical high end vintage European exotica. The entrants were Americans and the car has just returned to the USA. It is now available in Cary, North Carolina for $28,000.

This 1952 1900M AR51 'Matta' (chassis AR1509) is said to be an import from Italy and one of only 85 known to exist. The seller adds that it's a 95% complete restoration, though few specifics are given and even the exact year is unknown. Just over 2,100 Mattas were built for the Italian military and civilian sale in the early 1950's before the type was replaced with a simpler Fiat design. Scarce in Europe let alone the United States, the Matta was more advanced than the Willys Jeep, and would be a guaranteed hit at any Italian car show. Find it here on eBay in New Egypt, New Jersey with a $19k BIN.

This 1951 Plymouth Concord business coupe is described as a mostly original, 58k mile example with two previous owners that was stored for more than 20 years in a California barn. Shown immediately below right after being pulled from an additional two year nap earlier this year, it's since been cleaned up and made it into a cool, road-worthy example of this hard-to-find bodystyle. Find it here on eBay in Fort Worth, Texas for $11,500 OBO.
