This 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 (30837S100895) is the reason we bought and built the eBay Project Corvette. For years it was the only Corvette that we cared one bit about at the Monterey Historics. It was ordered and raced when new by Fred Reinhart, who later restored it, and has been raced for the last decade by the delightful Susan Armstrong. We had a chance encounter with the two of them as they unloaded the car to race for the last time together in Sonoma 14 months ago. We feigned purchase interest and Susan hand-wrote her address and number on a card. She apparently sold it, and it has since been restored to a much softer and more stock configuration with drums, injection, deleted roll bar, and a factory dash. It is the end of an era if this car will not see the track again, but it will always be our very favorite C2. Find it here at Mecum Monterey, where it will be auctioned on Saturday, August 15th. Special thanks to BaT reader JJ M. for this submission! Click here to read more... |
This 1952 Tatra T600 Tatraplan is being offered as a partially restored project, the seller noting that it still needs seats, upholstery, wiring, windows and some bent fenders mended. Before pictures appear to show a mostly solid and complete donor car, and much of the heavy lifting—engine, gearbox, brakes and paint—have already been completed. Though not quite as cool as the company's V8-powered streamliners, these smaller four cylinder cars share similar characteristics including elevated build quality and engineering. Find this one here on Hemmings in Niles, Michigan for $20k OBO. Click here to read more... | Also new on Bring a Trailer:
