Our 1960 Alfa Romeo Giulietta TI project continues! We have gone deeper than we wanted to, so not only have we scoured the underside of the car, we've also had to cut out some rusty metal. This development has set back the schedule somewhat and caused us to miss an event in April, but we are booked for the MotherLode 400 event in June, which we have never done and are very excited to attend. Day 2 ended on a high note. My brother came up from Colorado and met us at the hotel in Rawlins with several chilled beverages. Dinner at Buck's Sports Grill, and a good night's sleep.
Day 3 started cold in Rawlins, WY. 38 degrees and foggy. Pulled out about 6:45, headed east. Our escort followed us for the first thirty miles, then pulled off for a great action shot. The high point of the trip was the summit just east of Laramie at 8640 feet above sea level. Converted at an unspecified point in the past into Brooklands spec, it features a tapered, shortened frame and new, handbuilt aluminum bodywork.
