Best Tailpipe Award: 1975 Peugeot 504 Pininfarina Coupe Update
7/21/2015 Update: Back on eBay barely two months later, this 1975 Peugeot 504 coupe is being offered again, now with no reserve and a much lower starting point than the nearly $17k opening bid from last time around. Still rare, cool and gorgeous despite the overwhelmingly brown color scheme, bidding is enthusiastic and hovers just below $7,500 with 31 hours auction time remaining at the time of writing. Find it here on eBay in Turner, Oregon.
Bullitize It: 1968 Dodge Charger R/T 440 4-Speed
This Dodge Charger Charger R/T (chassis XS29L8B246243) started life as a 440/automatic transmission-equipped car but has been converted to a 4-speed as part of a recently completed restoration. Power still comes from a 440, however it’s a non-matching numbers but dated-correct unit with a .030 overbore, high-compression pistons and a lumpy cam. Find it here on eBay in Jupiter, Florida with no reserve.
Kevlar & Gun Ports: Armored 1979 Rolls Royce Silver Wraith II
This 1979 Rolls Royce Silver Wraith II (chassis LRK037742) is a factory long wheel base version of the standard Silver Shadow base car. Armor plated with nearly two inch-thick glass, extensive Kevlar insulation and more detailed in the ad, the car even conceals interior gun ports in all four doors–simply fire right through the Crewe factory aluminum bodywork. Peking to Paris and Around the World in 80 Days: 1949 Buick Super
This 1949 Buick Super wagon was restored sometime in the mid 90’s but retains all-original, rot-free and generally quite well-preserved wood inside and out. Powered by a fully rebuilt, matching-numbers drivetrain, the car has been all over the globe as part of 2000’s Around the World in 80 Days Motor Challenge as well as 1997’s Peking to Paris event. Find it here on eBay in Chicago, Illinois with reserve not met.
