Scruffy Driver: 1941 Buick Century Sedanette
This 1941 Buick Century Sedanette is described as an excellent driver that was until recently in storage for 40 years. Further claimed to be fully functional, it wears its age with pride but that’s a big part of why we like it so much. Two door Century variants of this era aren’t easy to find, and as long as rust is under control we’d be happy to drive this one as-is for at least a summer or two. Find it here on eBay in Campbell, California with reserve not met.
BaT Auction Success Story: Land Rover Better Than Expected
This just in from from the buyer for the Mercedes-powered Land Rover 88 purchased via BaT Auction just last week (link):
“Hi Guys,
Here is my recent acquisition from BaT, the 1960 Series II Landy. Being in the business since 1987, my expectation of being let down after a long distance classic car purchase has been finely honed with good reason from folks who either are incapable of describing a car or have mastered the fine art of prevarication… It is with great joy that I have to announce that this was simply not the case in this instance. This truck was restored and modified by someone who really gets what he does, happy seller and happy buyer in this instance. I wish I was this happily surprised more often!
Two Stroke to DC: 1981 Subaru Sambar ElectraVan
This 1981 Subaru Sambar (VIN E1006012345) has had its original, air-cooled, two stroke vertical twin swapped for an electric motor sometime in the early 80’s. Dubbed the “ElectraVan,” apparently there were at least 100 of these conversions performed back in the day, though this is the first one we have seen offered for sale. Find it here on eBay in Riverside, California with a $2,800 BIN.
