One of 25: 1994 Lancia Hyena Zagato
This 1994 Lancia Hyena is one of 25 (the ad quotes 24) privately funded, Delta Integrale Evoluzione-based cars built over a two or three year period. The brainchild of a wealthy Dutch restorer and collector, Fiat’s refusal to provide bare shells forced each car to be privately sourced new from dealerships, ultimately limiting production to a third of that planned. Lighter, smaller and quicker, we remember reading that the finished product was somehow disappointingly less than the sum of its excellent parts. Find this one here on mobile.de in Düsseldorf, Germany for 169,994 euros (~$189,450 USD today). Special thanks to BaT reader Kyle K. for this submission.
$11K Runner: 1956 Lincoln Continental Mark II Project
This 1956 Continental Mark II (chassis C56E2931) is said to start easily and run well despite sitting for an undisclosed number of years. It’s not quite a driving project as brake and rust repair work is required, but the seller does note that it’s fully functional otherwise. Sold on an open title, cosmetics are rough as well but it does appear to be largely complete. Find it here on eBay in Taunton, Massachusetts with an $11k BIN.
Older Restoration: 52K Mile 1962 Renault Dauphine
This 1962 Renault Dauphine is offered with only a brief description and a few pics right after a wash. Although the car is said to have been restored, work doesn’t appear recent as cosmetics are a bit worn, however its mechanical condition is described as excellent. Find it here on eBay in Massapequa, New York for $5,450 OBO.
Ute Conversion: 2001 Volvo S80
This 2001 Volvo S80 ute conversion looks very well-executed and is said to be as such by its seller and second owner. Our Swedish is a bit sketchy, but we gather it may be some sort of semi-official vendor conversion, perhaps something used for civil service originally? Regardless, it’s totally unexpected and quite cool to boot. Find it here on Blocket.se in Göteborg, Sweden for 75k SEK (~$8,900 USD today).
