Probably V12-Less: 1963 Ferrari 250 GTE 2+2 Project
This 1963 Ferrari 250 GTE 2+2 is offered as a recent “California barn find”, however virtually no other useful written information is provided in the ad. The car looks largely complete, though rust, electrical and mechanical issues are all likely to be extensive. Find it here on Craigslist in Portage, Indiana for $299k. Special thanks to BaT reader Luis A. for this submission.
30K Miles: 1985 Audi 5000S Station Wagon
This 1985 Audi 5000S wagon (VIN WAUGB0443FA124544) is a claimed strong running, three owner survivor with only a tick over 30k miles on the odometer. Though we wish it had a 5-speed, these are still very attractive and practical old cars, and the lack of a roof rack highlights the design’s long, uncluttered look. Find this one here on eBay in Barstow, California for $3,750 OBO.
Nicest One Left: 18K Mile 1988 Merkur XR4Ti
This 1988 Merkur XR4Ti (VIN WF1BT80W5JM698451) has just 18k miles and shows a level of care and preservation seldom given to these cars. Featuring the desireable 2.3 liter turbo backed by a 5-speed gearbox, this rare coupe should offer an interesting alternative to other 80’s turbo tin tops like the SAAB 900 SPG and Mustang SVO. Find it here on Craigslist in Cincinnati, Ohio for $9,500. Special thanks to BaT reader Douglas G. for this submission.
No Reserve: 1969 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS Indy Pace Car Project
This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS convertible (chassis 124679N623057) features Indy 500 Pace Car trim and is described as a barn find. Missing its original drivetrain, the car is currently equipped with a 350/AT combo from a 1973 Camaro and was last running some fifteen-plus years ago. Find it here on eBay in South Hadley, Massachusetts with no reserve. Special thanks to BaT reader P.S.P. for this submission.
