Two Years Later: 1967 Datsun Bluebird SSS Race Car
9/4/2015 Update: Less than two years later, this Bluebird is once again on offer, this time with a new owner and more substantial fender flares. Since our last feature (below), the seller has campaigned it at Watkins Glen, Road America, and Indianapolis. This 1985 Mercedes Benz 190E 2.3-16 (VIN WDB2010341A149077) is said to be a mostly-stock Euro market car with a decent list of recent work performed. With more horsepower and a higher redline than the US market cars, this homologation special could be a practical and more affordable alternative to a nice E30 M3. Find it here on eBay in Portland, Oregon with reserve not met.
All Original: Sharp 23K Mile 1971 Saab 99
This 1971 Saab 99 is said to be completely original with only 36,286 kilometers from new. Though the ad says it’s already sold, this seems to stem from an English translation issue. Condition looks to be very good throughout, and the seller adds that it starts and runs fine. Find it here on Blocket.se in Nässjö, Sweden for 75k SEK (~$8,850 USD today). Texas Via Turin: Restored 1966 Vetta Ventura Apollo
This 1966 Vetta Ventura Apollo has received what the seller describes as a no expense spared restoration and looks very good in photos. This car is a rare collaboration between several companies including Italian manufacturer Intermeccanica, though the actual design of the car was done in America. As similar offerings from Iso and De Tomaso have proven, American muscle with an Italian body can make for a very appealing package.
