Recently Refreshed: Sharp 1971 Cadillac Coupe de Ville
This 1971 Cadillac Coupe de Ville (chassis 683471Q173401) has been recently refreshed with a new interior, top and paint, and shows significantly better than the average 1970s American luxury car today. Interestingly, a stock ’71 Coupe de Ville posted the highest average speed in that year’s Cannonball run at 84.6 MPH, though we’d be hesitant to use one now for that same purpose. Find this one here on eBay in Lakeland, Florida with reserve not met. Special thanks to BaT reader SirRaoulDuke for this submission.
Nearly Extinct: Well Kept 1978 Buick Skyhawk
This 1978 Buick Skyhawk is an impressive looking example with a claimed 43k original miles. These cars were pretty scarce even when new, and we frequently go a whole year without seeing one in any condition. This one sounds to be largely original apart from a recent, factory correct respray and even has cold-blowing A/C. Find it here on eBay in Lakeland, Florida with reserve not met.
$1000 1973 Datsun 240Z Racer Shell
This 1973 Datsun 240Z is sold without an engine or transmission, and though specifics are short, the car was clearly prepped for track work long ago. There’s no word on what series it raced in or where, but we dig the very 70s livery and the low ask could probably be negotiated even lower. Find it here on Craigslist in Ventura, California for $1k. Special thanks to BaT reader Stan T. for this submission.
Biturbo’s Swan Song: 1997 Maserati Ghibli
This 1997 Maserati Ghibli is a penultimate production year model whose roots stretch back to the much-maligned Biturbo, first released under De Tomaso ownership in 1981. While this era will never be considered Maserati’s finest, it could well be argued that these were among the best turbocharged V6 cars the firm ever built, with refined, relatively reliable mechanicals and nicely matured Gandini bodywork. Find this one here on eBay in Toronto, Ontario, Canada for $19,900 CAD OBO (~$15k USD today). Special thanks to BaT reader Dave C. for this submission.
