Full 6.0 Liter Muscle: 1989 AMG Hammer
This 1989 AMG Hammer (VIN AMG12422217030) sports the tuner’s brawniest four-valve variation of Mercedes’ V8. Good for 385 horsepower in ultimate 6.0 liter form, this apparently European-delivered example should be based on the somewhat lighter 230E shell. Find it here on Hemmings in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for $87,500 OBO. Special thanks to BaT reader Mike for this submission.
Looks Stock: LT1 Swapped 1976 Chevrolet Vega
This 1976 Chevrolet Vega may look like a normal wagon, but instead packs a much greater punch than even the range-topping Vega Cosworth. Now fitted with a fuel injected LT1 350 V8 and still wearing dog dish caps over simple steel wheels, this one may live up to the seller’s “ultimate sleeper” description. Find it here on Craigslist in Oregon somewhere near Seattle for $11k. Special thanks to BaT reader Joby J. for this submission.
Recently Restored: 1970 Abarth 2000SE
This 1970 Abarth 2000SE (chassis 036) is said to have been treated to a no-expense-spared restoration over the last year, and could prove an interesting and capable competitor in small displacement vintage racing. Find it here on eBay in Woluwe-Saint-Lambert, Belgium with no reserve and fast bidding. Special thanks to BaT reader Dan S. for this submission.
Moss Gold Honey: Restored 1975 Chevrolet Blazer
This 1975 Chevrolet Blazer (chassis CKM185F150898) represents the last year of the full convertible top. Presented in distinctive Moss Gold over wood grain, this truck looks tough and undeniably of the 1970s. BFG T/A tires, a Flowmaster burble from the the 400ci V8 and the potential for wind in your hair all add up to a cool rig. Find it here on eBay in Boulder, Colorado with no reserve and fast bidding. Special thanks to BaT reader S.D. for this submission.
