Update: SBC Powered 1963 Ferrari 250 GTE 2+2 Project
12/4/2015 Update: A bit less than three months later, this 1963 Ferrari 250 GTE 2+2 (chassis 4777) is back on the market, this time with a more reasonable no reserve pricing format and substantially more photos and written information, too. Just as we suspected, its original V12 has been replaced by a Detroit V8, which the seller reveals is an SBC. Said to have been discovered in Southern California earlier this year, the seller adds that it runs and retains many important original Maranello parts. Find it here on eBay in Valparaiso, Indiana with no reserve.
Full M5 Swap: 2001 BMW 540i Touring
This 2001 M5 Touring build started life as a 540iT, which according to the seller was purchased as a one-owner, southern state car prior to modification. BMW built only one E39 M5 Touring prototype, which is a real shame as this generation of 5-series wagons are arguably among the best-looking the company has ever built. Find this one here on Craigslist in The Bronx, New York for $24,500. Special thanks to BaT reader Stephen for this submission.
Quattro Progetti Ferrari: Three Million Euro Lot of Four 250 GTs
These four Ferrari 250 GT/GTEs are offered as a group of incomplete projects in varying degrees of condition. The ad is roughly translated and rather minimal, with no further details on each car beyond their specific model. A V12 and some parts are shown, but their inclusion in the sale can only be speculated on. Find them all here on Subito in Mondovi, Italy for 3,000,000 euros (~$3,275,000 USD today). Special thanks to BaT reader Rolf in Germany.
One of 300: Single Owner 1998 Ducati 900SS/FE
This 1998 Ducati 900SS/FE is one of just 300 silver Final Edition bikes made for 1998. The following fuel-injected model had somewhat controversial styling and proved less popular with riders. Though it only makes about half the horsepower of a current 959 Paginale, this one is still a swift, engaging and attractive machine by nearly anyone’s standards. Find it here on Craigslist in Scottsdale, Arizona for $9k. Special thanks to BaT reader Christian for this submission.
