Rare in the US: All-Original 23K Mile 1979 Volkswagen Brasilia
This 1979 Volkswagen Brasilia is a nice looking example of the Brazilian-built hatchback imported from its native country earlier this year. Though hardly rare with around a million built, the car is apparently one of only a handful in the US. It's claimed to be completely original and is said to run "fine” with 36k kilometers on the odometer. Find it here on eBay in Irvington, Alabama with reserve not met.
EFI DOHC JDM: Concours Shown 1979 Isuzu 117-XG Coupe
This 1979 Isuzu 117-XG (chassis PA955270303) features right hand drive, a fuel injected twin cam four with a 5-speed and Guigiaro styling. A cracked dash and leaky A/C are the car’s only noted faults, and it’s reportedly just attended this year’s Concours d’Elegance of America. Find it here on eBay in Warren, Michigan with an unmet $18k starting bid and additional reserve.
Grandma’s Here: Nicely Modified 1986 Buick Turbo Regal T-Type
This 1986 Buick Turbo Regal T-Type may sport brighter paintwork than its menacing GN sibling, but was fitted from the factory with the same LC2 turbocharged V6. Though upgraded with a few aftermarket parts, this car appears largely stock and correct inside and out, and is said to be very reliable as well. Find it here on Craigslist in Brookfield, Wisconsin for $16,500. Special thanks to BaT reader Tony S. for this submission.
Cheap Driver: $4K 1983 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ60
This 1983 Toyota Land Cruiser (VIN JT3FJ60G1D0072620) is touted as being strong and reliable, and though cosmetics look pretty decent from a few feet, closer inspection reveals some body rust as well as a tired interior. Still, if the underside is solid as claimed, this could be a good buy. Find it here on eBay in Cody, Wyoming with a $4k BIN.
