Graphite Over Red: Sharp 1986 Audi Coupe GT
This 1986 Audi Coupe GT (VIN WAUBD0859GA141499) is a “Commemorative Edition” that’s described as well preserved and maintained with a documented 62k and change miles. Based on the same platform of the legendary Quattro, this GT loses its fender flares, AWD and turbo but retains a great sounding five cylinder and good looks. Complete with working digital dash and contrasting red leather interior, the car looks to be in fine shape overall. Find it here on Craigslist in Seattle, Washington for $5,500.
Never Seen One: 1973 Chappe et Gessalin C1300
This 1973 Chappe et Gessalin or “CG” C1300 is a Simca powered, plastic and fiberglass composite bodied car of which 95 were built over a three year period ending in 1974. As you might have guessed, CG was French, and despite a positive reception, C1300 production was soon halted due to engine supplier Simca’s emerging partnership with Matra, whose 530 was a direct competitor to the little rear-engined coupe. Described as “almost entirely original and in perfect condition”, this is the very first we’ve featured. Find it here on catawiki in Avignon, France with reserve not met. Special thanks to BaT reader Theo K. for this submission.
Original Aspen Blue: 1965 International Harvester Scout 80
This 1965 International Harvester Scout 80 represents the final year for this seminal design, with the updated 800 debuting in 1966. Described as clean, straight, 99% rust free and well maintained by the Scout 80 collecting seller, they call this one “the cream of the crop.” Mechanicals sound well sorted and cosmetics are clearly impressive, though our favorite feature has to be the cool folding “Safari” windshield. Find it here on eBay in San Francisco, California for $24,200 OBO.
Supercharged Rally Build: 2000 Acura Integra Type R
This 2000 Acura Integra Type R (VIN JH4DC2319VS004345) has been prepped for rally competition with all mods seemingly of top quality and execution. Arguably the FWD handling benchmark, it’s wonderful to see a real Type R used in motorsports, as was Honda’s original intention. This one adds a Jackson supercharger, and the seller says it’s competitive, reliable, and inexpensive to run. Be sure to check out the in-cabin rally footage below. Find it here on eBay in White Marsh, Maryland for $13,999 OBO. Special thanks to BaT reader Chris S. for this submission.
