New Auction Listings
69K Miles & All Original: 1979 Mercury Grand Marquis Colony Park
This 1979 Mercury Grand Marquis Colony Park (VIN 9Z76H690191) looks super tidy inside and out, and is claimed to be all-original. Further described as a garage kept, accident and rust free Southern California car with 69k original miles, the car is a beautifully preserved throwback to the traditional Detroit wagon’s twilight years. Find it here on eBay in Lakeland, Florida with reserve not met.
One of 53: Jaguar XJR-15 at No Reserve
This Jaguar XJR-15 is sold with no model year provided, but we do know that 53 were built by Walkinshaw Racing between 1990 and 1992. Based on the Le Mans-winning XJR-9 Group C prototype, most if not all saw competition in a one-model, Formula 1 support race series. This one is sold with minimal info, but the no reserve auction format makes it worth a look. Find it here on eBay in Woluwe-Saint-Lambert, Belgium. Special thanks to BaT reader AMF for this submission.
Perfect Proportions: Mild Custom 1936 Ford Model 48 Club Cabriolet
This 1936 Ford Model 48 Club Cabriolet looks regal in burgundy matched carefully with some subtle, period custom touches. A four inch dropped axle gets the nose in the weeds, but the stock 21 stud flathead V8 remains largely untouched behind the louvered side panels. Club Cabriolets are rare with just 4,616 built during the height of the Depression, and this one is one of the cooler examples we’ve seen in several years. Find it here on eBay in Sacramento, California with no reserve.
Low Key 468CI Hemi Swap: 1955 Chrysler C-300
This 1955 Chrysler C-300 remained with its previous owner for over 50 years. Though it appears stock, underneath is a different story with a stroked 468ci hemi, modern overdrive automatic transmission and a Detroit Locker equipped Ford nine inch rear end. All together, these modifications should offer a big improvement in performance, but we’re thankful the builder had the vision to leave the car’s iconic looks well alone. Find it here on eBay De Pere, Wisconsin with reserve not met.
