New Auction Listings
$200K Plus Invested: Heavily Modified 1987 Lotus Esprit Turbo
This 1987 Lotus Esprit has been tuned and developed by the seller over many years. They stopped tracking receipts sometime in the 1990s, and now estimate north of $200k invested. Heavily modified throughout, very little remains untouched and all work appears to have been done very well. Dyno’d at 450 crank HP, the engine has been further modified since and the seller compares performance favorably to that of an F40 or Carrera GT, describing the driving experience as very “visceral.” Sounds like an understatement. Find it here on Lotus Talk for $50k OBO.
Mostly Stock 1962 Ford Econoline Pick-Up
This 1962 Ford Econoline pick-up is from the second year of production. Though these trucks were often modified heavily for drag use, we like that apart from Torq Thrust style wheels, this 46k mile example remains largely stock right down to the straight six under the cabin doghouse. Find it here on eBay in Clarklake, Michigan with the reserve not met.
Un-Messed With: Flathead V8 1933 Ford Five Window Coupe
This 1933 Ford Five Window Coupe looks virtually untouched and retains both its original flathead V8 and factory steel bodywork. These cars are often cited as the best looking Fords of the era, but finding one that hasn’t been chopped isn’t easy. A Deluxe model, this coupe is claimed to have zero rust, and we especially dig the greyhound hood ornament and rumble seat. Find it here on Jalopy Journal in Phillipsburg, New Jersey for $48k.
A/FX Style 1965 Ford Galaxie 500/XL Street Machine
This 1965 Ford Galaxie 500/XL (chassis 5E68Z263855) wears A/FX style deleted high beams and tear drop hood, and now packs a 505 HP 428 FE and custom four link rear underneath. Claimed to be a former ’60s street racer, it looks great in photos, and with a 4,57:1 geared Detroit Locker equipped rear end, it should move very well. Find it here on eBay in Merrick, New York with a $29,500 BIN.
