Rare Hand-Built Soviet State Limo: 1947 ZIL ZIS-110 in Texas
This 1947 ZIL ZIS-110 (chassis 253 of 2,038) is an early, second model year example of the Russian reverse-engineered Packard. Commissioned by Stalin, the cars were hand-built at a rate of less than 200 a year, and production ended in 1958. Per the seller, most were destroyed on the order of Stalin opponent Khrushchev when he replaced the former as Chairman of the Soviet Council of Ministers in 1958, making this previously restored example a real rarity today. Rare 5-Speed: 1989 Ford Thunderbird SC
This 1989 Thunderbird SC is a rare 5-speed version of the factory supercharged V6-powered “Super Coupe” model. Though mileage is high at 179k, the seller has spent what sounds like lots of time and money tracing faults. Additionally, both supercharger and heads have been rebuilt, and the seller notes several upgrades including bigger injectors, blower overdrive pulleys and more. A small amount of rust is noted, but overall the car sounds to have decent, driver-level cosmetics–we definitely dig the sandy silver and OEM slicer wheels. 226 HP, No Reserve: CA18DET Swapped 1967 Datsun 1600 Roadster
This 1967 Datsun 1600 Roadster (chassis SPL3115032) features a relatively modern Nissan CA18DET and 5-speed along with a number of other upgrades, and the seller says that work involving the swap cost $10k alone. Though imperfect, we like its scruffy driver vibe and bet that it should really move with the upgraded turbo twin cam underhood. Find it here on eBay in Kelowna, BC, Canada with no reserve.
Rough Pair: Burnt & Wrecked 1963 Corvette Convertible Projects
These two 1963 Chevrolet Corvette convertibles are offered as a project package deal, and though one is wrecked and the other has burnt, there may be enough between the two to put one right. Small-block 4-speed examples, neither runs, but it sounds as if their engines are included. Little info is provided in the ad, but the seller does welcome requests for more details. Find them here on Craigslist in Pasadena, Texas for $30k.
