Clean Car Award Winner: Excellent 1995 BMW 850CSi
This 1995 BMW 850csi (VIN WBSEG9329SCD00166) is an award-winning example that’s been only slightly modified from stock. The seller notes all paint is original and adds that the car is rust and accident-free as well. Further, a 6-speed manual makes this flagship coupe even more special, as relatively few V12’s came with a row-your-own transmission. The interior looks equally squared away and the ad claims that the car is “well-sorted, reliable and very fast”. Find it here on eBay in San Diego, California with a $61,500 BIN. Special thanks to BaT reader Clint D. for this submission.
One Family From New: 1956 Imperial w/ Working A/C & Record Player
This 1956 Imperial has been with the same family since new, the ad further noting that it retains its original engine and transmission. Recently treated to new brakes and a tuneup, it sounds to be in good driving condition and is said to be fully functional including power accessories, A/C and the super-cool under-dash record player. Find it here on Craigslist in San Diego, California for $9,500. Special thanks to BaT reader T.J. for this submission.
$14K Price Drop: 1988 Mercedes Benz Unimog U1250 Tipper Bed
2/9/2016 Update: Nearly two years later, this 1988 Mercedes Benz Unimog U1250 is back on the market in the same Northeastern Texas area, and though condition looks to be pretty much the same, the price has been substantially reduced. The seller calls it a recent import, but seems to have simply re-used the old add–based on the original posting date, the truck sounds to have been brought over from Germany sometime in 2013. As before, the ad notes some light corrosion, but it looks well-kept in photos and sounds to be ready to use as well. Find it here on Craigslist in Plano, Texas for $25k (reduced from $39k). Special thanks to BaT reader flyby69 for this submission.
Early Hemi-Powered 1951 Henry J
This 1951 Kaiser Henry J has been given the full street rod treatment with over $90k claimed spent. Very little original remains of the Henry J. Kaiser brainchild economy car except body and steering wheel. The frame is a custom tube design supporting a Mustang front end with tubular A-arms, coilovers and power steering. Under the hood’s a 331 hemi bored .030 over and routed through a built Torqueflite 727 transmission. Find it here on eBay in Mount Bethel, Pennsylvania with reserve not met.
