French, From Kenosha: 25K Mile 1985 Renault Alliance Convertible
This 1985 Renault Alliance convertible is a claimed 25k mile example in unusually good condition inside and out. 1985 marked the first year for the drop-top version of the Alliance, which was an AMC and Renault collaboration. Not a performance car by any means, this is simply a rare, well-kept example of a model that’s virtually disappeared from US roads. Find it here on Craigslist in Baudette, Minnesota for $5,500.
5700 Mile Derelict: 1973 De Tomaso Pantera L Project
This 1973 De Tomaso Pantera L is listed as having only 5,700 miles from new, though those miles appear to have been racked up pretty quickly as the car has clearly been sitting for decades. Claimed to be complete apart from the horn button, the seller says a recent, professional assessment found only superficial rust. Find it here on eBay in Downington, Pennsylvania with no reserve. Battle Damaged Prototype: 1979 Land Rover Centaur Half-Track
This 1979 Land Rover Centaur prototype (chassis P6) was designed for use by the British military, though development stopped suddenly in 1980 despite what seems to have been promising test results. Standard V8 Defender from the B-pillar forward, the rear half is said to have been adopted from an Alvis FV101 Scorpion, notable as the world’s fastest tank with a top speed of 82 km/h (~50 MPH). The truck is sold with a story just as fascinating as its configuration, but will cost lots of time and money to be properly restored. Find it here on eBay in Norwich, England with reserve not met. 79K Mile 5-Speed: 1988 Acura Legend LS Coupe
This 1988 Acura Legend LS coupe is a rare 5-speed manual car that looks and sounds to be in extraordinarily good condition. Described as a fully functional, 79k mile example, the seller says that it drives like a new car. Sale includes many spare parts, and though the second generation model is arguably more sought-after, nearly all of these early cars disappeared long ago.
