Scary but Tempting: $7K 1992 BMW 850i 6-Speed w/ Maintenance Records
This 1992 BMW 850i looks scruffy and wears some truly unfortunate aftermarket wheels, but combines a rare factory 6-speed manual transmission with what sounds to be extensively documented maintenance history, both of which go along way towards offsetting its other shortcomings, especially at this price. Find it here on Craigslist in Seattle, Washington for $7k firm or trade for listed vehicles. Special thanks to BaT reader Jay P. for this submission.
Bring a Chassis: 1969 Aston Martin DBS Aluminum Bodywork
This 1969 Aston Martin DBS (or more accurately all of its major body panels) are offered for sale separate from the donor car’s chassis, mechanicals, interior, glass, trim and pretty much everything else as well. Hand-beaten aluminum, these panels could be useful for a restoration effort or perhaps as bodywork for a full custom build. Find them here on eBay in Cornwall Bridge, Connecticut for $10k OBO. Special thanks to BaT reader Ignacio S. for this submission.
Early Sharknose: 1980 BMW 633CSi 4-Speed
This 1980 BMW 633CSi appears to be a well cared-for and mostly stock example with a few minor sounding mechanical issues. With 134k miles, the car is said to be rust-free and in good driving condition. This early E24 combines an understated color combo, nicely preserved cosmetics and a 4-speed manual transmission to make for an attractive, relatively low-key package. Find it here on Craigslist in Woodland, California for $6,500.
Rare Six-Pack Crew Cab: Restored 1966 Ford F250
This 1966 Ford F250 looks good in a rare crew cab configuration often referred to as the “Six-Pack.” Restored starting in 2012, this truck is said to have started out as a rust-free example. From the second year of Ford’s Twin I-Beam suspension setup, this one features two wheel-drive, a 352ci FE, and a granny-geared 4-speed. Find it here on eBay in Smyrna, Tennessee with reserve not met.
