Rare Three Year Only Model: Brazilian Volkswagen 1600

a

This Brazilian-built Volkswagen Type 3 1600’s model year isn’t mentioned, but thanks to a short production run, can only be a 1968, 1969, or 1970 example. The seller says it remains highly original, including factory paint, interior, floors, radio, headlights, engine and more. Using a unique front end and other distinct styling features, the model was unpopular, as illustrated by its popular nickname “Zé do Caixão,” or “Coffin Joe.” This one remains in South America, but would surely be a big hit with the US VW show crowd. Find it here on The Samba in São Paulo, Brazil for $15k USD.

Rusty w/ Options: $4K 1970 Dodge Charger Project

Unbelievable-Bargain-4K-1970-Dodge-Charger-Project-for-sale-Front

This 1970 Dodge Charger is being offered as a rolling body with a number of interior parts and glass included, as well as a 440 big block and automatic combo, seats, and rear end available for an extra grand. Floors are mostly nonexistent, and the body has a bit of additional rust, but it looks mostly straight and replacement panels are available. Rough as it may be, this package will probably sell quickly. Find it here on Craigslist in Middleburg, Florida for $3,200 as a roller or $4,200 for the car and all the extras.

Tough Camper: 1977 Steyr-Puch Pinzgauer 710K

Other Makes Steyr Puch Pinzgauer 710K Hardtop Camper | eBay

This 1977 Steyr-Puch Pinzgauer 710K (chassis 5755198) is offered by a Bay Area Pinz and Unimog specialist, though they admit it can’t be legally registered here in California. The truck appears to be a good one, and though mileage isn’t noted, the chronometer reads a reasonable 1,277 hours. Outfitted for camping with bunks and power inverters, it’s said to have spent most of its post-importation life in dry Arizona, with the ad further noting a recent, trouble-free, 1,000 mile trip. Find it here on eBay in Vallejo, California for $19,500 OBO.

One of Seven: 1934 Skoda Popular Sport Aerodynamic

a

This 1934 Skoda Popular wears a very unusual but attractive aerodynamic body. Said to have been fitted to just seven cars, it appears to have been restored, and is as mechanically interesting as it is visually–the 902cc flathead four is perfectly conventional, but it’s fitted to a tubular backbone chassis employing A-arms in front and swing arms in back, similar to what local rival Tatra had been doing for more than a decade. Find it here at Sachsen Veteran in Dresden, Germany for 99k euros (~$112,800 USD today). Special thanks to BaT reader Kyle K. for this submission.
