$39,000,000 Discount: 1957 Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa Recreation by Tempero
This 1957 Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa recreation is the result of eight years of work at Rod Tempero's New Zealand shop. Completed just last year with a subsequent $61k service performed here in the US, the car was built to replicate Modena chassis 0710. An accurate alloy-bodied replica, the car utilizes a 330 GT donor chassis and engine, as well as an unspecified 5-speed gearbox. The result looks fantastic, and the seller describes a fast, visceral driving experience to go with the stunning looks. Find it here at Fantasy Junction in Emeryville, California for $485k.
1968 Push Me Pull You One-Off: 1957 Ford Custom 300
This 1957 Ford-based car was built in 1968 by students of North Dakota’s Bismarck Junior College. The car sounds to have originally ran two motors and may even have been steerable from either end, though a recent restoration sacrificed the dual drive for a more streetable single engine, straight rear axle setup–the previous layout’s 45° driveshaft bend limited the car to parade speeds. Find it here on eBay in Tolland, Connecticut with reserve not met.
Subaru Six Swapped: 1972 Porsche 914
This 1972 Porsche 914 looks good in a resprayed color that’s close to factory Laguna Blue, aided by 16″ Fuchs which were enabled by a five lug conversion. Euro taillights and nice brightwork help as well, and the seller points out that both the Hell Hole and longitudinals are in good shape. What really sets this car is apart is the engine, a 3.0 liter Subaru boxer six good for a nice fat 242 HP–more even than most 911 swapped examples have on offer. Find it here on Craigslist in Concord, North Carolina for $14k. Special thanks to BaT reader J.L. for this submission.
Unrestored Runner: 1957 Porsche 356A 1600 Super Speedster
This 1957 Porsche 356A 1600 Super Speedster (chassis 83341) belonged to the seller’s father, and though unrestored and currently running, was last on the road nearly 20 years ago. The car looks almost entirely complete, though no engine bay shots are provided and the seller doesn’t specify whether the drivetrain remains original. Rust is evident in spots, but it doesn’t look to be out of control, and the seller says serious corrosion is limited to a few small holes in the floor pans. Find it here on eBay in Freehold, New Jersey with reserve not met. Special thanks to BaT reader Alex M. for this submission.
