$4200 Runner: 1966 Imperial Crown Coupe
This 1966 Imperial Crown coupe (chassis YM23J63242403) has been in the seller’s family for over 30 years. Its 440 runs but overheats, and the seller also notes some minor rust. Further described as complete and fully functional, they suggest it could be enjoyed (almost) as-is or restored, and given its apparently very decent condition, either could work. Find it here on eBay in Guffey, Colorado for $4,200 OBO.
Gothenburg via Torino: 1989 Volvo 780 Bertone w/ 66K Miles
This 1989 Volvo 780 Bertone (VIN YV1HA6928KD006593) is an excellent looking example with a claimed 66k miles. Further claimed to be well maintained and free of rust, its very good colors, condition, and rarity all make for a special car. Largely hand built in Italy, these cars were very expensive, as illustrated by this example’s $44k 1989 sticker price–close to $87,000 in today’s dollars. Mild Period Upgrades: 1979 Volkswagen Scirocco 5-Speed
This 1979 VW Scirocco (chassis 5392076546) is a good looking example with numerous tasteful upgrades. Offered by it’s third owner, the car has had some important maintenance items recently addressed, including a timing belt change last summer. Additionally, the seller says it drives excellently with direct, precise steering and a great sound from the upgraded 1.8 liter motor. Find it here on eBay in Saugus, Massachusetts with no reserve.
Rare 4×4 Quadravan: 1974 Ford Econoline E-300
This 1974 Ford Econoline E-300 Quadravan is a very rare 4×4 version typically only seen in long wheelbase form. Like all Quadravans, this short wheelbase example started life as a standard heavy duty one-ton Econoline, but was then sent to an outside supplier where a factory-sanctioned conversion was carried out. Consisting of Dana axles and transfer case, the seller says off-road capability is on par with a contemporary Jeep–in other words, very good.
