170 HP & 1600 Pounds: 1969 TVR Vixen S2

1969 TVR Vixen S2

This 1969 TVR Vixen S2 (chassis LVX13104) is a very good looking, long-term one owner example of the successor to the better-known Grantura. Restored in the mid-90’s, it lost its original Ford Kent 1600 motor in favor of a 2.0 liter version built by MWE Engineering, essentially doubling original output. The seller has had the car under their care for the last 32 years, and adds that it’s turnkey ready. Find it here on Craigslist in Medford, New York for $23,500.

One Owner Original: 1978 Toyota Corona Wagon

Toyota Corolla Wagon | eBay

This 1978 Toyota Corona (chassis RT119064870) is listed as a 100% original, one owner example. With 87,000 claimed accurate miles on the odometer, the car looks to have been used regularly over the years, but has clearly been cared for as well–it’s not perfect, but it has history and charm, not to mention cold-blowing factory A/C. Find it here on eBay in Riverside, California with no reserve, and low, competitive bidding.

$800 Project: 1972 Saab Sonett III

1972 Saab Sonett

This 1972 Saab Sonett III sounds to have been bought as a project 20 years ago, and until recently was kept in a garage. The seller admits to rust, but the Ford-sourced V4 and transmission do remain in place. There’s no word on whether they still turn, both title and key are missing, and this is the only photo provided. Still, this color is excellent, soccer ball alloys are still mounted, and it’s definitely eye-catching at this price. Find it here on Craigslist near Olympia, Washington for $800.

Last of 214 Built: Restored 1930’s Plymouth Silver King Orchard Tractor

Plymouth Orchard | Mecum Lapeer 2016 | S3

This Plymouth Silver King (A199BM1) is said to be the only remaining example of just 214 orchard spec models built. It appears to be an early 1930’s example, though no model year is provided in the catalog listing. Provided information is very minimal in general, but it’s obvious that the machine has been treated to a high quality restoration, and photos are full of fascinating details. Find it here at Mecum who will offer it as lot S3 in Lapeer, Michigan on June 4th, 2016. Special thanks to BaT reader Kyle K. for this submission.
