$371K Price Drop: 1967 Toyota 2000GT
5/5/2016 Update: Less than six months later, and this 1967 Toyota 2000GT has shed nearly one quarter of its previous asking price. The car otherwise seems unchanged, being described as a Swiss delivered example previously restored in the mid 1990’s. Further said to remain matching-numbers, sale includes extensive documentation contained in a three-ring binder, and condition of course looks to be excellent throughout. Whether this is a sign of a cooling market, or perhaps an over optimistic initial ask remains to be seen. Find it here on eBay in Springfield, Missouri for $924,500 OBO.
500 Plus RWHP: Hemi/5-Speed Swapped 1964 Plymouth Belvedere
This 1964 Plymouth Belvedere wagon (chassis 3645118644) was a California car from new (built in Los Angeles per the decoded VIN), until the early 2000's when it was sold and taken northeast. A restoration was performed shortly thereafter, the highlight of which is an upgraded Gen II 426 hemi and a TKO 5-speed–additionally, the car was stripped and given fresh cosmetics. The result looks and sounds impressive, and with more than 500 RWHP on tap, should move very quickly. Find it here on eBay in Brampton, Ontario, Canada with reserve not met.
One of 100 in Red: 1954 Chevrolet Corvette Project w/ No Reserve
This 1954 Chevrolet Corvette (chassis E54S003678) is said to be a late production model, which the seller claims had much better fiberglass body quality when compared with first-year ’53 and earlier ’54 examples. Though currently stripped bare, the car was originally red, reportedly one of just 100 for the model year. Though not currently running, it retains a correct Blue Flame inline six and is said to be largely complete. Further claimed to roll easily and steer well, a factory hardtop is included as well. Find it here on eBay in Baton Rouge, Louisiana with no reserve.
Fully Functional: Well Kept 1988 BMW 750iL V12
This 1988 BMW 750iL (VIN WBAGC8310J2765141) is an early V12 long wheelbase car described as 100% mechanically sound with working A/C and no rust or accident history. Judging by what seems to be a V12 XJS garage mate, the seller has a thing for cheap twelve cylinders–always a sign of good taste. Find the BMW here on eBay in Louisville, Kentucky with a $12k BIN.
