Auctions Closing Today
One of the Very First: 25K Mile 1970 Datsun 240Z
This 1970 Datsun 240Z (chassis HLS300064) is described as the 51st example ever imported to the US, and its Dark Green over tan color combo is correct, somewhat rare and very attractive, too. Further claimed to be matching-numbers, it sits over excellently chosen Panasport wheels and is said to look, run and drive nicely. Find it here on eBay in Beverly Hills, California with reserve not met.
$7500 Driver: Super Scruffy 2001 BMW M5
This 2001 BMW M5 looks to have lived a fairly hard life over the past 15 years and 157k miles, and the seller freely admits that it needs some work. Specifics aren’t provided, though the ad does go on to described the car as all original, running, and driving. Find it here on Craigslist somewhere in north New Jersey for $7,500 OBO. Special thanks to BaT reader Ken W. for this submission.
Rare Recall Wheels: 1969 Plymouth Barracuda Formula S 340
This 1969 Plymouth Barracuda Formula S (chassis BH29P9B439514) is a 340/automatic car featuring a rebuilt drivetrain, including a non-original but correct displacement V8 and 3.23 Sure-Grip limited slip diff rear end. The car looks to have had at least some level of restoration work done in the past, and still presents quite well inside, out and underhood. Find it here on eBay in Piscataway, New Jersey with no reserve.
Rolling Resto Candidate: 1974 Lotus Europa Twin Cam Special
This 1974 Lotus Europa Twin Cam Special (chassis 4483R) is minimally described as being in running and driving condition with a cracked windshield and 35k miles, and though the seller directs potential buyers to their website for additional info, there doesn’t appear to be any available there. Further said to need cosmetics, the car is only shown from a few angles, though if not totally mechanically thrashed with a reasonably solid backbone frame, it could make sense to buy and drive while fixing over time as the seller recommends. Find it here on Craigslist in Haddon Heights, New Jersey for $12,900.
